How to Self-Finish Your Needlepoint Paperweight in 3 Easy Steps
Our Self-Finishing Needlepoint Paperweight kits are the perfect beginner-friendly project! This is a quick guide on how to self-finish your paperweight using everything included in your kit.
1. Cut Your Stitched Canvas
After you’ve finished stitching your canvas, cut around the design as close to the stitches as possible.
2. Attach Your Canvas to the Adhesive Mounting Card
Remove the sticky backing from the adhesive mounting card. Firmly press the sticky side of the mounting card onto the back of your needlepoint canvas, ensuring that it’s evenly placed.
3. Place Your Canvas into the Glass Paperweight
Place the canvas (secured to the mounting card) into the paperweight. Peel off the black velour, and place the sticky side gently onto the back of the paperweight — ensuring the canvas is still even — to secure it in place.
And just like that — you’re done!
